St Aloysius College, in its efforts to provide its students and its Sports Complex members with the best sport facilities possible, is venturing on a very ambitious project whereby the Sports Complex will be totally refurbished and managed by Vassallo Group Ltd. The new complex will house a totally refurbished pavilion, canteen, fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a gymnastics hall, a new seven-a-side football pitch on a car-park, a childcare centre, and dormitories to host training camps.
Works will start at the beginning of June.
In view of this, we would like to inform you that the Health and Fitness Centre and the Pavilion will be closing down on 31 May 2022. The Athletics Track and Football Pitch will, however, continue to be available.
Whilst thanking all those making use of our facilities for being part of the St Aloysius Sports and Recreational Complex, we trust that the Vassallo Group will be looking forward to offering you a quality service with much more opportunities for your wellbeing once works are completed.
Thank you,
THE MANAGEMENT

Following the lifting of most of the COVID-19 measures, kindly note that from May 3 the use of masks will not remain compulsory at St Aloysius College.
We do however suggest that students and members of staff use masks according to their discretion, particularly inside the classrooms and in crowded places.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Following years of hard work and preparations, St Aloysius College and Vassallo Group has just signed a final deed to develop, maintain and manage the St Aloysius College Sports Complex. Moreover, the Vassallo Group will build and manage The Mediterranean College of Sports which will start welcoming students from scholastic year 2024-2025.
The new complex will house a totally refurbished pavilion, canteens, fitness centres, an outdoor swimming pool, a child-care centre, a gymnastics hall, dormitories, a new seven-a-side football pitch, and a parking area. SAC students will have access to all these facilities, and students from the Mediterranean College of Sports will also use these facilities according to agreed time slots.
As from April 26, the Vassallo Group will start preparing for works on the Sports Complex. This is being done to create an environment which is as safe as possible during the construction works which are due to start at the beginning of June 2022. Moreover, preparatory works in the area surrounding the tennis courts will also commence on the same day.
It is a historic day for St Aloysius College and for the Vassallo Group. We look forward to offering quality education, including sports education to hundreds of students and interested parties.
Works will start as soon as possible.
With gratitude to both teams for their competence, passion and enthusiasm.
– Fr Jimmy Bartolo sj, SAC Rector

TO ALL MEMBERS OF STAFF, STUDENTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF SAC PRIMARY SCHOOL, SECONDARY SCHOOL AND SIXTH FORM
Below please find our letters regarding the use of masks at St Aloysius College:
Dear members of staff, parents/guardians, and students,
Throughout the pandemic, our College has always taken the necessary precautions to safeguard everyone’s health and ensure the continuation of our students’ education. We would like to thank you for this.
We would like to enter a new phase of normality without masks and social distancing just as everyone else wishes to.
However, after reflecting carefully about the current situation, we feel it is still not the right time to stop the use of masks in our schools. Therefore, for the moment, we would like to remind you that the use of masks will remain obligatory in our classrooms and common areas. They can, however, be removed during break and playtime when students are outside.
We have taken this decision to continue safeguarding our health and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our schools. In this way we can ensure that teaching and learning will continue to take place.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Fr Jimmy and the Council of Heads

Għeżież membri tal-istaff, ġenituri u studenti,
Tul il-perjodu tal-pandemija, il-Kulleġġ dejjem ħa l-miżuri meħtieġa biex nieħdu ħsieb is-saħħa ta’ kulħadd u biex it-tagħlim ikompli jingħata. Ta’ dan nirringrazzjawkom ħafna.
Bħal kulħadd, aħna nixtiequ li noħorġu minn din il-fażi biex ngħixu ħajja normali mingħajr maskri u distanzi soċjali.
Wara li rriflettejna fuq is-sitwazzjoni attwali nħossu li għadu mhux il-waqt li nneħħu kompletament l-użu tal-maskri mill-iskejjel tagħna. Għaldaqstant nixtiequ ninfurmawkom li għalissa, l-użu tal-maskri jibqa’ obbligatorju fil-klassijiet u l-postijiet komuni. Waqt il-brejk u waqt il-logħob nistgħu inneħħuhom meta l-istudenti jkunu barra.
Qed nieħdu din id-deċiżjoni biex nibqgħu nibżgħu għal saħħet xulxin u biex ma jinxteridx il-virus tal-COVID-19 fl-iskejjel tagħna. Hekk nistgħu niżguraw li t-tagħlim jibqa’ għaddej b’mod regolari.
Grazzi tal-kooperazzjoni tagħkom.
Fr Jimmy u l-Kapijiet tal-Iskejjel.
