The importance of joining forces in the fight for climate change and restoring (or saving) Mother Earth is nothing new. Over the past 51 years, on an international level, Earth Day has been at the forefront of environmental activism. The movement’s mission is “to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide.”
Earth Day reminds each and every one of us that the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance. At the end of the day, a healthy planet is not an option – it is a necessity.
Restore our Earth is this year’s designated theme. The focus is on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can effectively restore the world’s ecosystems.
As they say every drop of effort counts. Here at our College, a number of activities and initiatives have once again been organised to raise awareness within the community, with students taking an active role as responsible young citizens.
As our students’ work testifies, it is our responsibility to learn about sustainable development and sustainable solutions.
More updates coming soon – watch this space!

What is Educard?
Educard is a children’s educational game which targets children aged between 5 and 7 years. At Educard, our aim is to help visual learners read and understand basic subjects like Maltese, English, Mathematics and Science.
Each card has been designed with bright colours and pictures to make them as visually appealing as possible, as studies have shown that colours help to stimulate young learners. Children take in the world around them through their eyes, and bright colours are one of the first aspects of sight that help them distinguish form and categorize objects.
Educard consists of a pack of 20 questions and answers about Maltese, English, Mathematics, and Science. The objective of the game is to help children remember things faster and make education fun!

Emma Mifsud (Co-Social Media Manager) shares more:
Knowing one another prior to forming the team largely helped in our trust and communication, and the idea came about through research regarding what is necessary for the current Maltese market, with an intended age group in mind. The idea is totally original, and was decided through a brain-storming session including all 10 of us.
