YRE entry: Choked by Cars – How Malta is Trying to Breathe Again
Secondary school student Zack Spiteri (1PF) has written an article titled “Choked by Cars: How Malta is Trying to Breathe Again”.
Zack Spiteri, age 11, talks about how Malta has too many cars, causing traffic, pollution, and less space for kids to play. He shares his worries about the island’s future and highlights government efforts like offering money to reduce car use, encouraging electric vehicles, and improving public transport. Zack believes real change needs everyone’s help—by walking, biking, or taking the bus—to make Malta cleaner and healthier again.
This article is this year’s entry to the YRE (Young Reporters Europe) competition.
