Training for our Primary School’s Student Council and EkoSkola Committee

Training for our Primary School’s Student Council and EkoSkola Committee

Last Friday 26th November, 2021,  the newly elected Primary School Student Council and Ekoskola Committee gathered for an afternoon of training and planning.  This event focused on being a responsible citizen, their roles within a committee, as well as drafting of the year’s action plan.

Ms Roberta commented that, “the action plan was developed in line with the Global Citizenship Planner launched earlier this year as part of our College’s Strategic Plan.  I am confident that the enthusiasm demonstrated by both teams during the training augurs well for the year ahead.”

Well done to all and keep up the great work! 🙂

Launching an Advent Calendar with a difference at our Primary School

Launching an Advent Calendar with a difference at our Primary School

Advent is once again with us; a valuable time for reflection as we prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

With this in mind, the Primary School’s Chaplaincy team and other members of staff have put together a special calendar which was launched this morning. Spanning 27 days starting from the first day of Advent (last Sunday), each day will reveal a positive action, thought or gesture, to be made by all in the true spirit of advent. Today’s messages included holding the door open for someone and wishing them a great day, learning from others, as well as complimenting each other.

Featured below: Ms Daniela and Mr Anthony present the calendar. Today’s students reveal the advent messages.

Every day at 7.45 am, the team will ring a bell and a class or more will be assigned to open and announce the respective calendar days. Two children from the assigned class will be sent to open the calendar days, while the rest of the class will follow the opening online.

Well done to all for keeping the spirit of Advent alive!
