At our Primary School, Lent was marked with an Ash Wednesday Celebration for Early Years and Mass for the Junior Years.
Mr Anthony Mifsud, Chaplain, introduces this year’s special experience:
It was great seeing children praying as we launch this journey with our St Ignatius… Ini-GO in Spanish… We’re GO-ing to walk with him to Jesus in Jerusalem…

Featured above: Photos of the Lenten setup next to the stairs where the weekly assemblies were held.
Every week, a variety of INI-GO assemblies were organised and streamed online for the whole educational community. Each weekly assembly explored different aspects and symbols pertaining to Lent, helping our young audience immerse themselves, step by step, as they journey towards Easter.
Another highlight of this journey were the Passover Meals prepared for our Prep 2s. From animated readings to celebratory songs and breaking bread together, it was a truly special and memorable morning for all.
During the Our Lady of Sorrows mass, all the individual crosses made by our students were united to form one large cross; ultimately a collective visual representation of this unique Lenten experience with INI-GO.
Well done to the Chaplaincy and Ignatian Formation teams for creating such a memorable and inspiring Lenten journey for our young students!
