Last week, at our Primary School, there was a rumour of some superheroes running around. Are you curious to get to know if it’s true? Have you ever heard the saying “Curiosity killed the cat”? That means that being curious can sometimes get you in trouble. But curiosity isn’t always a bad thing. Being curious about issues around the world is a good thing because we get to learn about how to take care of planet earth. The global issue we tackled as a class was climate change. We talked about what causes climate change and how to try and make our earth a better place to live in; through planting more trees, using good energy, caring about our environment etc. All it takes is a bit of willpower and courage to do what is right for the planet we live in. Remember: WE CAN ALL BE SUPERHEROES!

At the end of the year, we are celebrating curiosity. Have you ever wondered if curiosity is a good or bad quality in people? Throughout this scholastic year, we learnt about a number of curious people who took the challenge and discovered new things to make the world a better place. People you read about in the Bible, and people who risked their lives to make discoveries and inventions that improved people’s lives. We also had opportunities were we curiously discovered new things through our studies and the activities that the school organised.

So, do you feel you know everything now? Are you still curious to learn more things? Of course! We are curious to discover the world around us, God’s creation and how we can treat it better. And we will always be curious to get to know all our brothers and sisters in humanity, so we can love each other as children of God.
