L‑Assoċjazzjoni tal‑Iskejjel tal‑Knisja (CSA) hi dispjaċuta li d‑differenzi bejn il‑Bord tat‑Tmexxija tal‑Kulleġġ ta’ San Albert il‑Kbir u l‑kap tal‑istess kulleġġ, is‑Sur Mario Mallia, ma ġewx riżolti u wasslu għat‑tmiem tal‑impjieg tas‑Sur Mallia.

Mingħajr ma nidħlu fir‑raġunijiet tat‑tmiem tal‑ħidma tas‑Sur Mallia, l‑Assoċjazzjoni tixtieq tirrikonoxxi l‑kontribut siwi tiegħu għal inklużjoni ta’ diversi studenti u studenti minn realtajiet differenti. Is‑Sur Mallia dejjem fittex modi ġodda kif jista’ jsaħħaħ il‑pożizzjoni ta’ dawk inqas fortunati. L‑Assoċjazzjoni tirringrazzja lis‑Sur Mallia tal‑kontribut kbir li ta għal ħafna snin sabiex l‑iskejjel tal‑Knisja jkomplu jagħtu aktar każ lil min hu batut.

L‑Assoċjazzjoni tal‑Iskejjel tal‑Knisja temmen bis‑sħiħ li l‑iskejjel tal‑Knisja għandhom jibqgħu jitmexxew permezz tal‑ħidma flimkien tal‑persuni lajċi u s‑saċerdoti reliġjużi u djoċesani, hekk kif diġà jseħħ fil‑maġġoranza tal‑iskejjel tal‑Knisja.

The Church Schools Association (CSA) is saddened that the differences between the Board of Governors of St Albert the Great College and its Head, Mr Mario Mallia, could not be reconciled and led to the decision to end Mr Mallia’s tenure as Head of School.

Notwithstanding the reasons for the dismissal of Mr Mallia, the Association wishes to acknowledge Mr Mallia’s valid contribution to the educational inclusion of disadvantaged students and of students from different backgrounds. He has always been looking for ways to improve the position of those less fortunate. The Association thanks Mr Mallia for his contribution to Church Schools over many years in caring for those less fortunate.

The Association of Church Schools strongly believes that Church Schools should continue to be led through the contribution of lay people and religious and diocesan priests together, as is the case in the majority of Church Schools.
