The motto of our College; “men and women for others”, also aligns with this scholastic year’s theme of being men and women for, and with others. We recall this important element of our College ethos particularly in the wake of the current escalation of armed conflicts in the Middle East.

The Students’ Council strongly condemns the acts of violence that have led to the deaths and injury of civilians.  The Council wholeheartedly calls for a swift de-escalation of tensions and an immediate ceasefire to avoid further human casualties and calls for the respect of International Humanitarian Laws.

As a college, we will continue to do our part by promoting peace, tolerance, understanding and reconciliation in the hope that the wider international community relentlessly supports and works towards a peaceful resolution of the humanitarian tragedy that is unfolding, in order to ensure long lasting peace and stability in the region.

The Council extends its heartfelt condolences and prayers to all those affected in the midst of this crisis and affirms to continue to promote social justice in the spirit of unity.
