Dear members of the SAC educational community,

In the aftermath of the tragic and devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the Jesuit Euro-Mediterranean Province has set up a fund through MAGIS Foundation, NGO of the Province, for those who would like to support relief effort.

Every bit of help will go a long way. To learn how you can donate, visit this page

We have decided to donate the money collected from the Sixth Form Soirée (almost €1000) to the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in Syria, who are coordinating the emergency services. The Jesuit community at College has also contributed an additional €2000 to JRS Syria.

Various collections focusing on urgently required items are being organised on a local level.

At our College, we will be coordinating a collection as follows:

ITEMS TO BE DONATED:

  • warm blankets
  • baby formula and
  • baby diapers

DROP-OFF POINTS:

  • Primary School – Ms Claire Bugelli’s Office (School Receptionist)
  • Secondary School – Ms Sue Pace’s Office (School Counsellor)
  • Sixth Form – Offices of the Assistant Heads

With heartfelt thanks in advance for supporting this cause, as men and women for others.

Fr Jimmy Bartolo sj and the Council of Heads
